This postcard from you keeps telling me the truth, that your ill-fated smile has seen a lonely, dreary life, but if I don't care that you don't care that you have worn the scars of a life lived alone but I think that you'll be alright I think in the end you'll be alright Don't want to waste your time trying to read between the lines I think you've got enough to deal with here All that I ask from you is just tell me the truth Is it really quite as bad as you make it out to be? but I don't care that you don't care that you are destined to live a life alone.

We filter out the fears, this lonely kings charade. We try to stop the years, as they wash away like a tidal wave of regret, promises that were never kept. We try to watch these days. Until I find my way, I'll count the days. We isolate the fears to try and numb the pain. We try to stop the tears, can they wash away? Like silent screams that never stop to catch the fall before it drops. We try to stop these days.

Litmus 02:44
Driving by your house I was thinking of all those long lost yesterdays. It's just an afterthought, a piece of real estate, I'll tell you anyway. Long is the night are my recollections of how we ever got by back then. You don't want an earful, you want the real thing, I'll tell you anyway For hours now I've tried to wait and I don't know what is left to say? Another night alone and drinking, so ironic that it almost fits, a fifth of comfort, a dusty memory, I'll tell you anyway. Long is the night are my recollections of how we ever had fun back then. Was it all a wash? Or was it the real thing? I'll tell you anyway

Weather Vein 03:08
He took a drive in the pouring rain all alone to think about things like her, missed chances and all the things he never had. He counted on countless things that he always thought would stick around, things like hope and those dreams that just slipped right through his grasp, and he says… Will you be there when the walls cave in? Will you be there out in the cold? Standing tall when the rain sets in or will you just sit back at home all alone? She took a drive in the pouring rain all alone to think about things like him, missed chances and those things she never had. It seems like such a selfish thing to go on and on about him, the day he left and he's never coming back, so she says…

Magnet 03:33
Satellites take focus on your world tonight, I will stare this wire down if it takes all night. Sugar-coated, carbon-copy disease, I will let you down right now if you just save me. Is this our world tonight? Can we separate from our own lives? Is this all you want to be? Is this all you want from me? And if the shine should fade from this fool's gold, will you still claim it as your own? And if the stones should bleed as the mountains crumble down, I still believe.

As a boy he dreamed of what he wants to be, now he just can't live in a world without dreams, but now he stares, because this man with no plan cannot even begin to understand what lies ahead for him. Now he thinks that the sun only shines for them, he thinks that their skies are blue. Now he thinks that the sun only shines for them, he thinks that they shine for you. As a boy he dreamed of what he wants to be, now he just can't live in a world without dreams, but now he's scared, because it seems that these things are always just a bit out of reach or tied up in the "when"

Stranded 03:00
These sleepless nights I walk the empty streets alone. The neon lights only pad the stars above. I'll be alright if I can find my way back home, my head's all tight with the fear of the known. But I'm stranded, lost in this place I know and I just don't like my chances of ever getting out of here. I don't mind if this is all I ever know.

Justin Case 02:08
Justin Case was a good friend of mine, he'll spend half his life just doing time for a crime he did so long ago and now he's left all alone. Justin Case was always trying to start some shit, pick a fight or always throw a fit. One time he brought a sack to school, funny Justin thought it was cool It's hard to let go when all you've got is to hold. It's hard to let go at twenty-two years old. Justin Case never saw his boat hit the rocks, aggravated assault on an undercover cop, spends his days in a cold dark cell, funny Justin thought "It's just as well." Justin Case's memory starts to fade away, I can't really say where he is today, if you thought the moral's too rough, just in case you thought it's cool to be tough

Catalog 03:18
Like hell I'm staying for tomorrow, I'm leaving here today. I've got a night to drown in all my sorrows, but tomorrow I'll have hell to pay. Could you bore me with another story? Of what an empty shell your life is and your excuses are so lame. You don't even know my name, but you'll criticize me just the same. You made your bed and now you sleep in it, flipping through the pages searching for the answers, thinking "have no fear because help is on the way" I'll keep on guessing, it's never ending. Take a trip on your selfish holiday that you've stolen again.
